これまでにも絵付けのテーブルウェアは時代や国、産地の違いによりさまざまな製品が生まれ、今もなお人々の目と心を楽しませてくれます。生活の中に取り入れたい絵付けのテーブルウェアはどんなものだろう？それが現代の日本で生まれるとしたらどんな柄がいいだろう？そんな想いをグラフィックデザイナーの小林一毅さんへ伝え、アイディアを重ねる中で、メインの素材を引き立てるハーブのように、食卓を盛り立てる存在で在りたいと「ハーブ」をテーマにしたテーブルウェアが誕生しました。この新しくもあり懐かしくもある普遍的なデザインのテーブルウェアがみなさまの食卓で長く愛されることを願っています。

Painted tableware has been produced in a variety of products depending on the era, country, and place of production, and continues to delight people's eyes and hearts even today. Until now, the tableware we proposed was mainly simple, but what kind of painted tableware would we like to incorporate into our lives? If it were to be produced in modern Japan, what kind of pattern would be best? Product development began with these thoughts. We conveyed this idea to graphic designer Kobayashi Kazuki, and as we piled up ideas, we came up with tableware with a "herb" theme, hoping to create something that would liven up the dining table, just like herbs that bring out the best in the main ingredients.

絵柄はシリーズ名にした「ハーブ」の中で、日常の食卓でも馴染みのある「バジル」と「ローズマリー」をモチーフに選びました。日本の伝統文様にも北欧ビンテージのようにも感じる雰囲気を持った個性豊かな図柄を、現代の食卓やインテリアにも馴染むデザインに仕上げました。ハーブの様に料理を引き立て食卓の個性として盛り立てます。

The design is based on the series name "Herbs", and features basil and rosemary, which are familiar on the dinner table every day. The unique design has an atmosphere that feels like both traditional Japanese patterns and vintage Scandinavian design, and is designed to fit in with modern dining tables and interiors. Like herbs, it enhances the flavor of your food and adds individuality to your dinner table.
